Hacienda Kass is unique among Soliman Bay beach houses in that it is the only hacienda style villa on the bay and one of the most architecturally elegant houses on the Riviera Maya.
The massive front door swings wide to reveal a spacious, slightly sunken living room. To the right is a lovely formal dining room with commercial kitchen just beyond. The kitchen is a gourmet's dream with an over-sized refrigerator, commercial six burner stove/oven and a complete compliment of accessories. The dining room seats eight in refined elegance. The living room has two nicely padded wooden formal couches, a wooden coffee table and a couple chairs upholstered in leather. All is in excellent taste and all the furnishings are handmade in hardwood. Many of the wooden pieces throughout the house feature hand carving. Floors are cool tile or stone in muted shades of red. Fine art and sculpture accents the walls to complete the decor. The combination creates a classic decor that is formal yet casual enough to still feel totally comfortable.
The villa has five bedrooms all are on the ocean side of the villa, one on pool level, three on the second level and the 5th on the rooftop level. Each has a full bathroom en-suite, ample living space and private slider to either a patio (pool level bedroom) or an ocean view terrace. The furnishings and decor are consistent with the rest of the house giving all the bedrooms an air of comfortable sophistication. Soliman Bay sea views are stunning from the second level ocean side terrace and the rooftop observation area. Also not to be missed is the great view over Soliman's wide mangrove area to the west, from either the roof or the two garden side balconies on the second level.
The rooftop lounge area is the place to enjoy a sweeping panoramic view of the bay and sea from the highest point in Soliman Bay. Perfect for watching activity on the bay during the day, sunrise or sunset at twilight, or stargazing in the evening, the roof has a commanding view of the sea and skies, and the mangrove on the west side of the house.
Down at pool level, the pool is a classic Roman/Spanish blend with rough stone arches, falling water and a symmetrical blue tile pool. The architecture is a perfect match for the house. There are plenty of lounges for sunning and ample seating in shade on the pool side terrace. The pool area washes light into the living room through a series of glass sliders topped by semi-circular transom windows. The pool area has a changing area with shower and sink, gas grill and exterior shower. Just off the pool area the sand leads to Soliman Bay and great snorkeling and swimming.
