The Casa Playa Maya property includes the main beach house and two “casitas” which are located in a nearby structure. The main house can accomodate up to 6 guests, plus. If your group is over six, the casitas can be added, for a total of 11. Up to 16 can be accomodated with two very comfortable queen size Swiss Army inflatable beds and two additional standard queen size inflatable beds.
The Main House: The two level main beach house centers on a circular design facing the sea. It is housed under a beautiful traditional “palapa” or grass roof which provides a cool and pleasant feel to the interior. The main house streams with light and sea breezes via the seven large screened sliding glass windows which wrap around the ocean side of Casa Playa Maya.
The first level includes a full kitchen with center island and bar seating for six, dining area with table and additional seating for six, and the main sitting area which is equipped with satellite television.
The first of two large and private bedrooms is located on the main level. The room is bright and airy. The bedroom enjoys a small patio with ocean view, accessed through glass doors. The bedroom is furnished with king bed and is well cooled with a quiet mini-split air conditioner. A private bath is also located just off the bedroom.
Up the stairs (non-slip) to the second level you will arrive at the large loft overlooking the main level. The loft is furnished with two single beds, which can be arranged to form one king if better suited for your group.
Just past the loft is the entrance to the second level bedroom suite. Again, a bright and light room with private terrace and bath, cooled with a quiet and powerful mini-split air conditioner.
The Casitas: Also located on the property is the two story structure which houses the “casitas”. Complete studio units on the first and and second levels. Each casita has a small well equipped kitchen area, breakfast bar, private bath and is air conditioned. The casitas are furnished with queen beds, ceiling fans, a small dining table and sitting chairs. These are perfect for large groups. A place where everyone can be together, and at the end of the day, spread out and enjoy their privacy.
The first level casita is perfect for people who may have trouble with stairs. The upper level casita has a large brick domed ceiling. Each has an outdoor area furnished with table and chairs. The casitas enjoy a shady garden view and are just a few steps from the main house and the beach. The casitas are never rented separately from the main house.
Casa Playa Maya has Satellite TV with DVD player, wireless internet, a large gas stainless steel BBQ grill, 5 kayaks and an 11.5K backup generator for your comfort. Cook and babysitting services also available.
